You need stay healthy during the winter months. Are you interested in how? Part l.

Physically preparing for the winter months can be challenging. It is important to us for our health and comfort. These few months require strength, endurance, coordination and balance.

  1. You have to adapt to changing weather conditions.

  2. To dress appropriately. Layer your clothing to block heat and insulate your body. Protect your head, hands and feet from the cold. Invest in a good quality winter coat and waterproof boots to keep you warm and dry. Wear a warm hat, scarf and gloves to protect your limbs.

  3. Be active. Regular exercise is key to maintaining physical fitness. Before you start, warm up properly. Cold muscles are more prone to injury. I recommend indoor activities like yoga, Pilates or going to the gym. It is worth trying winter sports in between outdoor activities. You could go skiing, skating, sledding, bobsledding, snowboarding or snow biking. The eternal youth should also try snow donut sliding. You could choose a winter activity that suits your fitness level and interests. Don't forget to dress warmly!

  4. Stay hydrated and nourished! Cold weather can reduce thirst and appetite. Fluids and calories must be replaced to prevent dehydration and fatigue. You should drink water or natural sports drinks, even if you don't feel that thirsty. You should eat a balanced meal that includes carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats. A nutritious diet should include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.

  5. Get enough sleep. The appropriate sleep is vital for your immune system and overall well-being. You should target for 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night, in a comfortable sleeping environment.

  6. Take care of your skin. Cold weather takes its toll on the skin. You could use moisturizing creams as prevention. In winter, the sun's rays can still be harmful. Don't forget to apply sunscreen!

  7. You should stay warm and take care of yourself during the winter months!

Please stay with me! In the next section, we will talk about a spiritually good and healthy life in winter.
